Notes from Ashura's presentation:

• A peace settlement was made in Russian Revolution
• The settlement was signed near Paris at the Versailles Palace
• Types of treaty: military territorial, financial, general
• Military means mostly related to armies
• Territorial has something to do with taking over lands
• Financial (economic)
• General means about everything
• Germany had no choice
• They had to sign the treaty
• They were given 2 choices: sign the treaty or let other countries invade Germany.
• The treaty of Versailles was a peace treaty that was signed by Germany, UK, France, Italy and many other countries
• It was signed on June 28 1919
• David Lloyd George and Woodrow Wilson wanted Germany to be punished.
• Germany hated the treaty
• Britain said the treaty was harsh
• France agreed with Britain
• America said peace.
